Introduction to XT Projects
The concepts first, then the proof. Read top to bottom.
Private R&D, public editions
We build open-source projects as XT Projects. Think focused research running in parallel with open releases.
Software lost its way; XT opts out
Tools that should empower instead harvest data. XT is built on quality over quantity — lean, responsive, zero-telemetry, tested on real hardware. Full reasoning in Philosophy.
Two tiers, one standard
Full-capability systems are built privately; public editions ship free under MIT and open licenses. The project index shows every system’s current state — including what’s unfinished.
Timeline
EST. 2023.02.16 // SUSTAINED, NOT VIRAL
Foundation
XtrCom founded. Architectural design and Linux kernel optimization across the Arch ecosystem begin.
First systems
Sonar (audio DSP), Psyche (evaluation matrix), Desob (compositor bridge) move from concepts to experimental builds. Kryptos completes privately.
Public edition
XT-Neros ships MIT-licensed, derived from the proven Kryptos core. SSU browser research goes active.
Structured catalog
Every system carries a lifecycle status. Concepts are labeled concepts; releases are labeled releases.
Our Model
R&D STRATEGY // OPEN + PRIVATE
Accessible, functional versions of our systems released freely under MIT and open licenses. Community-auditable, zero-telemetry, and fully documented.
Advanced research and complex system implementations — the full-capability work behind the public editions.
Why XtrCom?
CREDENTIALS // NARROW MASTERY OVER GENERALISM
XtrCom R&D is not a studio, not a generic consultancy, and not a brand built on marketing spend. It is a focused private R&D division — narrow domain mastery producing tools orders of magnitude more refined than anything built by distracted generalists.
READ FULL BRIEFING // STACK · METHOD · STANDARD
Those three years have been spent inside the Linux kernel source, reading Wayland protocol specifications line by line, profiling memory allocation patterns in real-time audio pipelines, and building custom IPC frameworks from first principles. C++ expertise comes from tens of thousands of lines of systems-level code interfacing directly with hardware — the kind of work where a single misaligned memory access crashes the entire system.
Python powers the analytical layers — most notably the 500+ variable adaptive matrix inside XT-Psyche: custom matrix operations with NumPy, adaptive weighting algorithms that recalibrate in real time. Java provides cross-platform compatibility where needed; Lua serves as the embedded scripting language for configuration and automation.
When you commission work from XtrCom R&D, there is no "quick and dirty" option. There is only code that meets the standard, or code that does not ship.
